Just like every ‘present’
has a 'past'; the famous people of the ‘present’ were unknown –or at least less
known or anonymous– in the past. Human being, by nature, strives for fame. And
as everything has its own price the popularity also claims something. Celebrities have very less of private life as they are always under the eyes
of reporters and their fans. Fame has to be earned. It is not free for granted.
There are certain fields in which people earn fame and get popular. Sports,
music, acting, politics and arts are the fields which fulfill the desire of one
to get famous. The next task is to maintain the fame as sometimes people are
pretty rapidly forgotten even after a massive fame. People very often think
about the past of the present day famous personalities. How did they look, how

Even football lovers might forget the 2010 FIFA World Cup, but nobody could forget the sensational official song of that mega event. Waka Waka (This time for Africa) is still shining in the memories of music and football lovers. The song remains to be the best selling World Cup songs of all time. But, of course, this was not the first time that Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll –commonly known as Shakira – conquered the music market. She is prominent singer, dancer, songwriter and producer in English, Arabic and Latin American languages. Born in 1977, Shakira started her career in early 1990 but could not hit the fame with her two initial albums. But later in 1996 her album ‘Pies Descalzos’ make her famous in Latin America. She debuted her English singing career with her album ‘Laundry Service’ in 2002 with best selling single of the year.
